Veterens Day! Tribute to my Husband!

I am so proud to have Landon Ochsenbein, a member of the Utah National Gaurd, as my husband. He stands for your loved ones every day, folding our Nations flag, presenting it to the family who holds honor for the service their family has given. He stands saluting as the trumpet rings throughout the cemetary playing the song of honor, hope, and closure. Families gather around their loved one, as the guns are shot and the flag is presented. The wonders of the atmosphere is apparent, and not an eye is dry.
My husband expresses to me every day of how much he appreciates his job, and appreciates the people who die for this country. He supports this country 100% and would fight for their freedom any day.
He told me a story of a funeral back in the day. A Military Soldier had passed over seas, and he was brought back to lay to rest next to his wife, who had died previously as a nurse overseas. The Military Soldiers who were folding the flag, presented it to their young boy. Both parents, died overseas, within the same year. How devistating I thought as he told me this sad story.
Another story he shared with me was about a 19 year old soldier coming home to rest. He got to be apart of this funeral, and told me how sad everyone looked. He had been married for 2 months before deploying and had a baby right before he left. Holding his baby only once, he left not knowing that was the only time he would have the chance to do that. Like the first paragraph says, no eyes were dry. Even the Military Soldiers present had a hard time keeping their tears from showing. What an experience to behold.
Sometimes I wonder when that will have to be me, sitting in the chair looking at the Military Soldiers presenting me with a flag. I just hope it's when I'm really super old, and he dies by old age. But if not, and he does serve his country. I will be forever proud of his service and the things he had done for me. He has made my dreams come true, and has been my best friend. He has always been there for me, and I Love him so much. He has been an inspiration to me, and has taught me so much. He has shown me a stronger way to love, and a wonderful reason to show it. He has become my better half, and is my hero. God Bless you all who serve for this country. As for Landon, I love you and I hope you have a wonderful flourishing life. You have served this country well, and you deserve the very best! I want you to know that everything you do, I am around the corner thanking our Heavenly Father for you! You're funny moments, making me laugh, making me smile, making me happy. You have been a HUGE blessing in my life. Thank you for all that you have done for me, and those who you meet on your way to the Celestial Kingdom! I love you with every ounce of my heart and more! -Your crazy wife ;)

After effects of the LOVE DARE

Lately, life has been AMAZING! The Love Dare has changed my life. Given me a new way of looking at life, and showing me the wonders of "Love" !! I found that not  only did I change, but Landon was starting to notice it as well! I was super excited to use all the new tactics, and show Landon how much I appreciated him and how much I Love him! We took a trip to Colorado and had a long nice nine hour drive. The drive up to Colorado was hard. Nine hours with no stops, was a difficult ride to sit through. I got angry a lot at the small things, and kept holding grudges...it wasn't the best of times...BUT...while we were there we had an awesome moment. We were getting ready for bed, and he was scooting over, and he elbowed me in the eye...and for some reason, he thought it was the funniest thing in the world! So he started making me laugh and before we knew it, we were laughing so hard, we were crying. The next couple days there were great, our moods were so positive, and funny! He made me laugh every second of those days! On the way home, the drive was amazing! We laughed and cracked jokes. But the thing that hit me the hardest was that in the middle of no where, he looked at me and seriously mentioned that we should start praying about kids! I was super shocked, but I absolutely brightened up and couldn't stop smiling the rest of the drive down! He turned my day around for those couple of minutes!! Thank you babe for everything you do, and for making me the happiest person ever, and making me smile and laugh every day! You are my hero, and I am proud to have you as my husband!! I LOVE YOU BABE!
